But given its diverse capabilities, loyal user base, and the ongoing shift to the cloud – I am very optimistic and excited to see what’s next. What does the future hold for SharePoint? How the hell do I know, I am a SharePoint consultant, not Nostradamus. SharePoint is what powers the recently released Microsoft Lists. SharePoint is what powers Teams file collaboration. SharePoint is what powers Intranets for many organizations these days. And SharePoint handles it with the highest honors. Transitioning from a teenager to an adult also carries more responsibility. Those early years allowed me to get familiar with it inside and out, long before it was modernized and integrated with Microsoft 365 and Teams. I personally was lucky enough to start using SharePoint when it was just 6 years old – started using SharePoint 2007 all the way back in 2007. But, SharePoint, like wine, gets better with its age! If you think about the technology and apps you used 20 years ago that no longer exist today. Today SharePoint is turning 20 years old! That’s right – our baby is no longer a teenager.Ģ0 years is a lot for an application and technology in general. It is SharePoint’s Birthday! But not any birthday. Well, it is March 28 again, and you know what that means. There are also other specific bounty programs: This covers all of Office 365 and Microsoft Accounts. There is an existing program that covers the Microsoft Teams Service, the Microsoft Online Services Bounty Program. More Microsoft apps will be added to this new app bounty program in the future.

It’s not very clear but I would assume this is the Windows desktop electron client, I’d expect x86/圆4 and ARM. The first, and at the moment only app, in this new program is Microsoft Teams desktop client. Qualified submissions are eligible for bounty rewards from $500 to $30,000 USD. Microsoft has introduced a new Application Bounty Program that invites researchers to identify vulnerabilities in specific Microsoft apps and share them with Microsoft.
